Holker Hall & Gardens: Cumbria’s Biggest Easter Egg Hunt

Where: Holker Hall, near Cark-in-Cartmel (approx. 20-minute drive)
Holker Hall is hosting a four-day Easter celebration featuring Cumbria’s largest Easter egg hunt. Children can search for over 100 hidden eggs in the gardens, participate in egg decorating, and compete in the popular egg rolling contest. The Easter Bunny might even make an appearance! Activities are £5 per child, with standard garden admission for adults. No pre-booking required; gates open at 10 AM.

Muncaster Castle: Easter Weekend Festivities

Where: Muncaster Castle, Ravenglass (approx. 45-minute drive)
Muncaster Castle invites families to a weekend filled with Easter excitement. Activities include the Big Muncaster Egg Hunt, an Easter Spring Trail, and protective egg shield workshops—can your shield keep your egg safe during the Big Egg Drop from the castle roof?
Ravenglass & Eskdale Railway: High-Speed Easter Egg Hunt
When: April 5–21, 2025
Where: Ravenglass Station (approx. 45-minute drive)
Hop aboard the Ravenglass & Eskdale Railway for an egg-cellent adventure. Children can participate in the ‘High Speed Easter Egg Hunt,’ solving clues along the journey. There are also free activities at the Ravenglass Railway Museum.
Ford Park Car Show – Sunday, 4 May
Kick off the month with the Ford Park Car Show, a free event showcasing a diverse collection of vintage and exotic cars and bikes. Held from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at Ford Park in Ulverston, it’s an ideal outing for families with automobile enthusiasts.
